According to a report from Asian Policy Press, twenty novel coronavirus patients were released from Jinyintan Hospital in Wuhan on Friday. This was the highest number of patients discharged.
Along with the released patients were an old couple, a 67-year-old named Wan and his wife. Both were discharged on Friday.
The doctor that handled their case was captured celebrating with the couple as they were about to be released. As per the article, the former infected couple waved goodbye to the medical staff.
As the outbreak continued to spread, news like this would surely give hope to the thousands affected by the Wuhan coronavirus.
Although the number of infected has reached more than 11,000 people, some countries are getting close to finding a solution to prevent the outbreak from spreading further.
The World Health Organization had also declared the outbreak to be a “Global Emergency”. This would hasten the efforts to develop a cure as more funds and more international collaborations come into play.
