A Certificate of Appreciation from DSWD was given to Claudine Barretto
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
It is known to many why the actress is associated with the said government agency. She is an adoptive parent which is part of the programs of DSWD. Currently, she already adopted three of her children, her daughters Sabina and Quia and she adopted her son Noah Joaquin last year. Her only biological child is her son Santino with estranged husband Raymart Santiago.
Previously, she shared the steps and qualifications one needs to be eligible to adopt a child legally. Even her older sister Gretchen Barretto commented on this. With this, Claudine received a lot of admiration for opening her home, her life, and her heart to children even though she did not give birth to them.
Just recently, the actress shared that she and Sabina attended the event of DSWD in line with the celebration of Adoption Awareness Month. She was given a Certificate of Appreciation for being part of this program.
“Thank u po DSWD for this Certificate & all the years you all Mentored me.i grew to be a better Adoptive Parent bcoz of all of you.Godbless po,” the actress wrote on her Instagram post.
Meanwhile, she encouraged everyone to “adopt the legal way”.
