Pangasinan Hit by Earthquake with 3.2 Magnitude

EARTHQUAKE – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 3.2 magnitude quake in Pangasinan today, January 31, 2020.

Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.

One of the strong quakes recorded by Phivolcs is the 7.1 magnitude quake in Davao Oriental. There were expected aftershocks due to the said quake and a tsunami advisory was released.

Previously, in April 22, Phivolcs recorded a quake in a part of Zambales. It had a magnitude of 6.1. Strong shaking were felt leaving people fearing about the so-called “Big One“. It is always advised that people will not depend on speculations but information from the authorities.

Recently, a quake has hit a part of Pangasinan. At 06:16 am today, January 31, 2020, Agno was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2.

According to Phivolcs, the quake that hit a part of Pangasinan was located at 15.80°North, 119.05°East – 087 km South 66° West of Agno. The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 018 kilometers.
