Still Unidentified Persons Shot 2 Chinese Men in Taguig City

CHINESE MEN – Two (2) Chinese nationals were shot by still unidentified persons in Taguig City, Manila.

One of the heightened moves in the Philippines since the start of the Duterte administration in 2016 is the campaign against illegal drugs. Undeniably, it exposed the sad reality in the country.

A lot of people were arrested during the operations conducted by the authorities. To note, some of the suspects shocked the public as they are known figures in politics or showbiz.

Not only the Filipinos who are involved are nabbed by the authorities. Even foreigners who are facing accusations are brought to legal proceedings.

Chinese Men

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, there were even two (2) Chinese men who were imprisoned since 2012 over drug allegations. They were recently released, however, unexpectedly, they were shot by still unidentified persons.

The victims were not named. According to NCRPO Director Major General Debold Sinas, the pieces of evidence against the Chinese nationals were weak so the charges against them were dismissed.

Based on the report, the police authorities take the possibility the incident was planned. Sinas expressed that they are already looking into the details regarding the release of the Chinese and the people who knew about it.

The suspects were yet to be identified. They were wearing masks and helmets when the incident took place. More updates may be posted soon as the investigation is still ongoing.
