PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this January 29, 2020.

The latest weather update from the bureau states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect northern Luzon.

According to GMA News, the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila, as well as the rest of the country, will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.

The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, extreme northern Luzon will have strong winds moving northeast to north with rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving in the north to northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
