Jamaica earthquake at magnitude 7.7 leaves devastating aftermaths.

JAMAICA EARTHQUAKE – A magnitude 7.7 earthquake hits 80 miles away from Jamaica shaking Caribean and as far as Miami, on Tuesday.

A powerful earthquake at magnitude 7.7 has hit Jamaica shaking Caribbean and as far as Miami as per previous report. Tsunami warnings for Cuba, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands but were then lifted shortly after there have been no reported major damages. However, this had been followed by a series of strong aftershocks to which one was measured at magnitude 6.1.

The quake opened several sinkholes, damaged properties, cracked roads, and damaged infrastructures as well, but there were no confirmed deaths or injuries. The epicenter was 139km (86 miles) north-west of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and 140km (87 miles) west-south-west of Niquero, Cuba. This quake came after the 6.4 earthquake that struck Puerto Rico.
