PAGASA – Amihan To Affect Parts Of The Philippines (January 24)
PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this January 24, 2020.
In the bureau’s latest weather update, the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect Luzon.
In elaboration, amihan will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Bicol Region and the provinces Aurora and Quezon.
The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides especially during heavy rains.
According to GMA News, the northeast monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
As for Eastern Visayas, they will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to easterlies. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms due to easterlies. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, the entire Philippines will have moderate to strong winds that are moving in the northeast to east direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
