3 Young Lads Who Provided assistance to Taal Victims Dies in Accident
3 (three) young lads who brought relief goods to the victims of Taal Volcano Eruption died in a car accident after they delivered the goods.
In our previous article, Rio John Abel was one of the victims and the passengers of the car crashed on the edge of the truck. Another was identified as Maximino Alcantara III, who was driving the car.
Another young man was identified as 26-year-old Darwin Lajara. According to reports, Alcantara and Abel, both 22, were dead on the spot, while Lajara was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately he passed away this Wednesday.
The tragedy occurred in Barangay Banay 1st in San Jose on Tuesday morning. The three are said to have been distributing relief goods to those affected by the Taal volcanic eruption.
Police Major Neil Christoper Gaspa said in a statement that they had to ask for help from the Batangas City fire department to get the victims trapped in the vehicle, GMA News reported.
According to the official, they also noticed that there were long skid marks on the highway. The ashfall can also be said to have affected the road conditions that caused the accident.
Taal Volcano is currently staying at Alert Level 4 according to PHIVOLCS. Authorities have warned not to spread fake news that could cause panic among citizens.
