PMA – The Philippine Medical Association broke its silence on the issue involving a doctor in Surigao del Norte and singer-actress Yeng Constantino.

Recently, the July 2019 issue involving singer-actress Yeng Constantino and her husband, Yan Asuncion, crossed the surface again. It was after the release of an arrest warrant against Yeng.

In July 2019, the couple flew to Siargao for a vacation. However, an accident took place while they were at a cliff-diving site. The singer-actress’ husband had to be brought to the hospital. He was later on moved to Dapa Siargao Hospital.

Yeng Constantino was visibly not satisfied with the medical attention given to Yan Asuncion. In a vlog post, the singer-actress criticized the way Dr. Esterlina Tan attended to her husband.

The vlog post of Yeng gathered different reactions from the netizens online. There were those who sided with the actress-singer while there were also netizens who defended the doctor.

A few days after it, Yeng took down his vlog post and apologized to the doctor in public. It was undeniably thought to be the end of the issue.

A few months after, there were reports that cyberbullying charges were filed against Yeng Constantino over the incident. Recently, it was confirmed that a Surigao del Norte court issued an arrest warrant against the actress-singer.

Based on a Twitter post of ABS-CBN News’ Mario Dumaual, the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) has broken its silence on the issue involving the Surigao del Norte doctor and singer Yeng Constantino.

According to PMA’s spokesman Dr. Bu C. Castro, it is open to be the venue for “possible peaceful settlement” between the Surigao del Norte Doctor and Yeng Constantino.

As of this writing, Yeng has not issued any statement yet. She posted a bail yesterday to avoid arrest.
