Northeast Monsoon To Bring CloudyConditon & Isolated Rains Over Parts of PH, PAGASA Says

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (January 11, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. PAGASA said that the northeast monsoon would continue to affect Luzon.

PAGASA said that ‘Amihan’ would bring cloudy weather conditions with light rains over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon. Occasional strong winds are expected in the mountainous and coastal areas.

Amihan would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rain over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Visayas and Mindanao.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas regarding the possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms. Residents are also advised to take precautionary measures.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. Light to moderate surrounding sea conditions is expected over the rest of the country.

PAGASA also said that the low-pressure located at 1,260 km east of Mindanao is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility anytime today.
