Roger Ocampo, 60, has the look from head to toe of the famous comedian character Mr. Bean. Brown slacks, tweed jacket and a red tie, plus the right comb of hair and the right facial expression and he’s got Teddy, that button-eyed bear who can never be separated from its owner.

According to the report of ABS-CBN, Roger has been copying Mr. Bean and that’s how long he’s been helping kids with ailments. In addition, he also visits Aeta children for fun and sharing gifts this holiday season.

Every year he and his wife dedicate the budget to their gift-giving for children. He also teaches them to thank God for the blessings you receive.

He clarified on Aeta children that gifts did not come from “Mr. Bean” but from God. He also claimed that when he had never before imitated Mr. Bean, he has been especially helpful to children.

Based on the report, Roger as Mr. Bean has entertained sick, out-of-school and street children in hospitals and shelters in Metro Manila and elsewhere. He said he joins the gigs without asking for a talent fee.

“I’m doing it for the glory of God. Ang ipinapakilala ko rito ay kagandahang-loob ng Diyos na nariyan siya para ibigay ang mga pangangailangan ng mga kabataang ito. Bigyan lang sila ng simpleng ngiti, sila ay anghel na sa mata ng Diyos.” Roger said.

Roger remembers this when he continues to make youngsters smile. It’s an everyday lesson that, he says, is not just for children, but more so for adults who need to be children at heart.
