Construction Worker Dead On Christmas In Front Of Wife Inside Own Home
CONSTRUCTION WORKER SHOT DEAD – Instead of a happy Noche Buena with the family, a 35-year-old carpenter met a grueling death instead.
Rhyan Cuarteros was shot dead inside of their own home in R. Domingo Street in Navotas City by an unidentified assailant. What’s worse is, he was shot in front of his wife.
According to an article from Inquirer, the suspect was with three other people who served as lookouts. Jonalyn Tenso, Cuarteros’ wife, left grieving for her husband, said that he was a good man.
She added that he never had any vices and worked so hard for his family. Following this, Jonalyn was left asking, why the incident had to be on Christmas Day.
Tenso wanted to believe that the bullets didn’t go through her husband’s body. However, when she lit up the lights, she saw her husband’s blood on the walls of their once small, but comfy home.
As per the article, one of the bullets shot through Cuarteros’ heart and made an exit through his lungs. The other bullet pierced his right shoulder.
Before the shooting began, the couple were fast asleep with their two daughters aged 11 and 5. But, suddenly, a masked man forced his way into their home.
The man grabbed Cuartero’s arm and forced him to come with them. However, Tenso held on to her husband, refusing to let go.
Unfortunately, their tug-of-war ended when the suspect shot Cuartero twice before exiting the scene with his companions.
Following this, Tenso stated that their neighbors said that Cuartero wasn’t even the target. Her neighbors believed that the man they were looking for was supposed to be the one next to their house.
Police are now investigating whether or not Cuartero was on their drug watch list. More updates to come on this story.
