Known officially as the State of Kuwait, it is a country in the western region in Asia.
Its official language is Arabic and is known locally as Dawlat al-Kuwait (دولة الكويت ).
It is located at the northern edge of the Eastern region of Arabia or basically, at the north east corner of the Arabian Peninsula. It has a landmass of 17K kilometers squared or 6.8 square miles.
The nation also has nine islands, where most of them are uninhabited, except for the island of Failaka
Its capital is the city of of the same name and has a population of about 4.6 million people, as of 2018, making it the 128th most populous country.
