Mother Shares Heartbreaking Letter To Santa Written By 7-Year-Old Boy
HEARTBREAKING LETTER TO SANTA – A 7-year-old boy has written a heartbreaking letter to Santa Claus that got the internet weeping.
The 7-year-old boy, identified only as Blake, was living with his mom in an emergency shelter operated by Safe Haven Tarrant County. The shelter helps domestic violence victims in the Fort Worth area.
Blake’s mother found her son’s letter to Santa inside his backpack. There, the letter revealed her son’s thoughts about his father. In his writing, Blake talked about how he was scared of his father.
For Christmas, Blake just wanted some chapter books for school, a dictionary, a compass, and a watch. In addition to these, Blake wished for a “very, very, very good dad.
The full letter read:
Dear Santa,
We had to leave our house. Dad was mad. We had to do all the chores. Dad got everything he wanted. Mom said it was time to leave and she would take us to a safer place where we don’t have to be scared.
I’m still nervous. I don’t want to talk to the other kids. Are you going to come this Christmas? We don’t have any of our stuff here. Can you bring some chapter books, a dictionary, and a compass and a watch? I also want a very, very, very good dad. Can you do that, too?
Love, Blake
After sharing Blake’s letter on Facebook, Safe Haven gave an update to the public and thanked them for their support. They wrote, “For those concerned, we can assure you that Blake and his mom’s safety has not been compromised by sharing his letter“.
According to Safe Haven, the donations and aid given to Blake helped the young boy get his Christmas wishes granted, along with other kids living in the shelter. In addition, the donations helped ensure that families would have a safe place to stay.
