114 Packs Of Suspected Illegal Drugs Found In Building’s Septic Tank in Iloilo

ILOILO – Carpenters found 114 packs of white crystalline substances inside the septic tank in Iloilo.

Since taking the office in 2016, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte carried out a “war on drugs.” His campaign has led to the deaths of more than 10,000 people.

Using illegal drugs has a negative impact on the user’s body. Aside from that, their relationship with their family and friends will more likely to be affected as well.

There have been lots of reports about children whose parents or other family members use illegal substances are often emotionally or physically abused. Most of these kids lack proper care. That’s the reason why the president ordered his officials to crackdown all the dealers and users in the country.

Based on a report from Daily Guardian, carpenters in Estancia, Iloilo found a mysterious stash inside a septic tank on December 17. The item looks like a stash of crystalline substances. They found 114 packs of white crystalline substance stuffed inside the four (4) garbage bags.

Iloilo police director, Colonel Roland Vilela said the packs weigh more or less 149.25 kilos. The carpenters informed their boss first, former Estancia Mayor Rene Cordero. One of the workers said it was an accidental discovery.

According to the report, the former mayor is now a hotel operator. He decided to expand his property and one of the requirements is to expand his septic tank. His employees later discovered the stash which was believed to be an illegal substance.

He told the authorities that a Taiwanese national named Chin Tse Lin rented that property in 2001. The foreigner set up a building for his squid processing business. His products were allegedly transported to Taiwan.

The Taiwanese businessman mysteriously left the property in 2016 without informing the former politician. Cordero presented the contract of the lease to the cops.

Based on the report, Colonel Roland Vilela said they submitted the white crystalline substance to the crime lab for examination. He said they could not determine it right away because it’s wet. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 is also investigating the matter.
