Sarah Geronimo’s fans broke the heart of Regine Velasquez
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez expressed her dismay to the fans of Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo due to this incident.
Regine and Sarah are set to do a concert together next year. This brought excitement to many of their fans who have been waiting for their collaboration. They first had the chance to share the same stage when Sarah won the Star For A Night competition in which Regine was the host.
Before 2019 ends, the two Kapamilya singers already announced their upcoming project together. After announcing, fans started buying the tickets. In line with this, Cacai Velasquez-Mitra, the sister of Regine and her manager shared an update on Twitter.
“Tickets as of Dec 15 11pm Less than 12 hours and we’re almost sold out except for the Upperbox and GA!!! Yehey!!!” Cacai tweeted and he tagged the Twitter account of her sister and the concert producer Viva Live.
This post did not sit well with the supposed fans of the Popstar Princess since her account was not tagged. Based on the article from ABS-CBN, netizens accused Regine and her sister of credit-grabbing. They pointed out that the selling out of the tickets in just a short period of time is due to Sarah and not because of Asia’s Songbird.
Because of this, a word war happened between the fans of Regine and Sarah. Following this, the Asia’s Songbird expressed her dismay to what happened. “Gusto ko lang sabihin na sa lahat ng concert na gagawin ito lang ang may issue. My sister probably didn’t know Sarah has a Twitter account and you guys are making such a big [deal] about it. Obvious ba na [collaboration] ito? Naka-tag Viva, right?” she said.
She also said that she did a lot of collaboration in the past but there were no intrigues. “Nakaka-disappoint. I have never experienced this,” Regine Velasquez said. The singer-actress added that this situation breaks her heart.
Based on the article, some of the fans of Sarah Geronimo apologized to the Songbird for they know that the Popstar Princess has long been crediting the older singer as her mentor.
