Good Samaritan Encourages Public To Always Help Elderly Vendors
A Good Samaritan has reminded the public to always help the elderly vendors by purchasing products from them although we don’t really need it.
Nowadays, there is a lot of elderly vendors selling different products along the streets just to earn money to sustain their daily cost of living and the financial necessities of their families. Those vendors are doing their best to earn money despite their old age.
Elderlies are already suffering from various types of diseases and need a lot of rest because of their health condition but some of them choose to work to support their family even in a simple way.
The younger generation should show love, care, respect, and consideration towards the elderly vendors. We could help them by purchasing some of their products although we don’t really need it.
Recently, a Facebook user named Eric Gabon has reminded the public to always help the elderlies even in a simple way. Gabon encouraged the public to buy something from the old vendors instead of paying for the services and products of big-time businessmen.

“Nasa taping ako today and around 5 PM nakaramdam ako ng gutom. Since walang tindahang malapit bukod sa Mercury Drug kaya dun nalang ako bumili. And yun nga nakita ko si tatay sa labas ng Mercury kahit medyo malayo pa ako. Nakita ko yung smile nya and eagerness sa pag-aalok ng paninda niyang Toasted Siopao at mani sa mga dumadaan kahit hindi siya siguradong bibili sila.
When I came near, he gave me the warmest smile and tinuro nya yung paninda niya. Hindi pa man din siya nakakapagsalita, nakapagdesisyon na akong bumili kahit hindi yun ang plano ko.
He reminds me of my late grandfather na recent lang pumanaw. Sobrang sipag at matiyaga. And kay Lolo na nagtitinda, marahil ito na lang yung kaya ng katawan niya to survive his daily living.Kaya huwag natin sila i-judge. Maaring gusto nya pa gumawa ng ibang bagay pero hindi na kaya ng katawan niya kahit pilitin niya pa. I do not know also kung may mga umaasa pa sa kanya ngayon. Kung meron man, mas mabigat yun for him.
Kaya pag may nakita kayong elderly people na marangal na naghahanap-buhay, bilhan niyo sila kahit ilan, kahit magkano, kahit hindi ninyo kailangan, malaking tulong na yun sa kanila.
We spent hundreds and thousands of pesos sa mga luho natin at sa negosyo ng mga taong mayayaman na. Why we don’t buy sa mga taong nag-i-struggle araw-araw para lang mabuhay? Nakatulong pa tayo. 😇❤
