Police Help 98-Year-Old Woman Living In Ramshackle Home
POLICE HELP 98-YEAR-OLD – The police were lauded by netizens after photos of them helping a 98-year-old woman was shared on Facebook.
In the post, you could see the police working together to build her a new home. According to the netizen that posted the pictures, the police are doing this without asking for anything back.
Sometimes, the police are seen as the villains who abuse their authority. Although that may be true in some cases, there are those who really are in it to help those in need.
This all began when the story of Lola Celerina Ibus Villa of Brgy. Labut, Badoc Ilocos Norte was shared online. A netizen found her living in a ramshackle home.
Her house was two-stories high, however, it appeared to be close to falling apart. Adding to this, the old lady was said to be left alone there by herself most of the time.
As far as family is concerned, lola Celerina has two sons. However, both of them are also of old age. The two sons also don’t have any family of their own.
According to an article from rachfeed, the three don’t even have the means to eat three meals a day due to poverty. But, the most pressing issue they were facing was their living conditions.
The house that they had was close to falling apart. Thankfully, after learning about her situation, police officers from Badoc Patrolbase 101st Maneuver Company, RMFBI gathered enough money to buy construction materials for her new home.
Just from a netizen sharing a story and donating groceries, it led to Lola Celerina getting a better life.
Because of the simple act of one netizen, the ripple effect of her kindness made a wave of difference for Lola Celerina. She and her sons now have a place to live that was safe.
