Participants of Red Cross’ Million Volunteer Run To Get Free Rides at MRT-3
The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 will give free rides to the participants of the Red Cross’ Million Volunteer Run on Sunday (December 8, 2019).
On Sunday, the Philippine Red Cross will held its 5th Million Volunteer Run at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila with the aim to raise funds for medical equipment such as ambulances, rescue vehicles, boats, and fire trucks,
The health institution also aims to earn more funds for the conduct of disaster resilience trainings in communities and first aid. The rest of the funds will go to the disaster-stricken areas and other health emergencies.
On Saturday (December 7, 2019), MRT-3 announced that the participants of PRC’s Million Volunteer Run could get their free ride from 5:00 am to 10:00 am on Sunday morning by presenting their race bib to the train line’s security personnel.
The MVR’s participants are instructed to gather at the Quirino Grandstand around 4:00 am. The run will u-turn slots at Pedro Gil for 3 kilometer runners at 5:50 am. The 5k gun will start at 5:25 am in Quirino Avenue.
Various chapters of Red Cross nationwide will also hold simultaneous runs in their respective areas.
