Class Suspension Declared in These Areas on Thursday (December 5)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in different areas due to the effect of Typhoon Tisoy.
Over the previous days, Typhoon Kammuri or locally known as Tisoy brought an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country. The weather system lashes several areas with violent winds and heavy rains.
Typhoon Tisoy weakened into a tropical storm and was last spotted at 540 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales. Kammuri has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of 80 kph moving 15 kph west.
The tropical storm is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday (December 5, 2019) but some local government units are still suspending the classes due to the effects of Tisoy.
On Thursday, several local government units declared the cancellation of classes in some areas due to the effects of the tropical storm. The class cancellations have been done to ensure the safety of the students.

- Magdiwang, Romblon – All levels
- Ilagan City, Isabela – All levels
- Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro – All levels
- Naga City – Pre-school to Senior High School
