Man Battling Cancer Bags P50M Super Lotto 6/49 Jackpot
MAN – A 65-year-old man who’s battling with cancer bagged over P50 million jackpot prize of Super Lotto 6/49.
Millions of people in the Philippines try their luck in lotteries. There have been lots of people who became instant millionaires because of these games.
Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) are the ones who announce the latest lotto results via social media or PTV. The current chief of the government agency is Royina Marzan Garma.
Based on a report from Manila Bulletin, a 65-year-old man who is battling with nasopharyngeal cancer bagged the P50 million Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot last Sunday night.
PCSO chief said they handed over the prize to the lucky man from Cavite. He claimed the whooping prize in Mandaluyong City, PCSO’s main office. Garma said the man had been receiving assistance from their agency and he did not expect to win the prize.
“Meron siyang nasopharyngeal cancer. Nakakatangap siya ng chemo assistance sa PCSO. Hindi niya akalain makakatangap din siya ng cheke na panalo,” she said.
According to the report, Royina Garma said the bettor’s ticket was a lucky pick and he’ll be celebrating his birthday next week. She also said that the man had been purchasing PCSO tickets for 30 years. The bettor told Garma that he will use the money to help his family and for his treatment.
Based on the report, the government agency gave the man a LandBank check after he presented his winning ticket and valid IDs.
Last Sunday, the jackpot prize of Super Lotto 6/49 is P50,305,924 with a winning combination of 35-38-09-17-10-15. It is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
