According to GMA News, Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes said in her issued notice that the 9 AM formal proclamation of judgment on the controversial massacre case will be held at the Quezon City Jail Annex at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City

Reyes was given until December 20 by the Supreme Court to promulgate a decision, which also granted her a 30 day extension that she asked due to a sheer volume of case records.

197 individuals, which includes 15 people with the surname “Ampatuan” that includes Andal Jr., Zaldy, and Sajid, were accused of conspiring to kill 58 people on a hill in the town of Ampatuan, Maguindanao on November 23, 2009.

The motive was allegedly motivated politically as gunmen armed with high-powered firearms also murdered the wife, sisters, and supporters of former Buluan town vice mayor and now congressman Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu, as well as 32 journalists, and six passers-by.

As per the report, this is said to be the worst case of election-related violence in the Philippines and also the single deadliest attack on the members of the press since detailed records were kept.
