Raffy Tulfo: DepEd Investigates Teacher Limjuco’s Case After Public Humiliation

The Department of Education (DepEd) said on Friday to handle investigation following a public school teacher’s humiliation in a TV show.

RAFFY TULFO – The Department of Education (DepEd) will investigate the case of Teacher Limjuco after humiliation received in a TV show.

The result as to how the “trial” in Raffy Tulfo In Action program have resulted received backlash from a lot of people. It involved a public school teacher who was reported by the parents of one of her students due to her way of disciplining their child.

After the show has received so much criticism, the host himself withdrew his decision and suggested to just reconcile both parties and not force the teacher to leave the teaching field as per previous article. The teacher is already 55 years old and have been in teaching service for nearly three decades already.

With the, the Department of Education (DepEd) to also hold their investigation about the matter. In a report from Manila Bulletin, they are already coordinating with the concerned offices regarding the child abuse being accused against the teacher.

“We will wait for their validated status report first,” says DepEd Undersecretary and Spokesperson Annalyn Sevilla. Also, the lawyer and education advocate Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada believes that the teacher has the right to be heard.

The lawyer actually offered to help the teacher in her case and stated, “I do not see any abuse done by the teacher. The disciplinary action imposed by the teacher is the necessary consequence of the child’s misconduct.”
