Former President Aquino Raises Questions on Pres. Duterte Not Having Trust To Vice Pres. Robredo

FORMER PRESIDENT AQUINO – Ex-President Noynoy Aquino reacted to Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte not trusting Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.

Recently, there are issues between Pres. Duterte and Vice Pres. Robredo in line with the anti-drug campaign of the current administration. He did not like the comments of the Vice President about it.

VP Robredo stressed that there may be a need for “tweaking” on the said campaign of the Duterte administration. It did not sit well with the President and led to him offering the drug war lead to her for six (6) months.

The Vice Pres. Robredo accepted the offer. On the part of the Pres. Duterte, he has reservations on sharing certain information with her. He refused to give her a post in his Cabinet as he does not trust her.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte not trusting Vice Pres. Leni Robredo gained a reaction from former President Noynoy Aquino. He cited some considerations in appointing and raised questions.

According to the former President, in making an appointment, the Chief Executive must believe that the appointee can get the job done, trust him or her to do the job, and to do it will.

“Kung wala lahat ‘yun, ba’t mo itatalaga? Pwede ba ‘yung itatalaga mo pero hindi mo pagkakatiwalaan? Medyo magulo yata,” he said.

Based on the report, Pres. Duterte previously expressed that he cannot trust Vice Pres. Robredo as he does not know her. On her part, she is not bothered by not having a specific role.

“Hindi ko na problema kung ‘di pa sila nagkakasundo sa role ko. Basta sa’kin, lahat na puwede kong gawin, gagawin ko,” the Vice President expressed.
