Netizen Shares Story of a PWD Who Did Not Leave His Friend Until his Last Breath Inspires Netizens

A netizen shares an inspiring story of Norly Solano, a person with a disability who never left beside his friend in the hospital until his last breath.

Recently, a facebook user named “Jenny Rose Prudente” share’s a photo of a handicapped man sitting in a chair. The photo has an inspiring story behind it.

According to the caption of the photo, Prudente rushed her mother to the emergency room of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City last November 8, 2019.

While the doctors were busy attending to her mother, an unconscious patient was brought to the emergency room and died after a few minutes.

She saw this handicapped man who was sitting. It seemed he was trying to embrace the reality of what had just happened.

After the medical staff interviewed Solano, Prudente had the chance to talk to him in private. He then shared a story about his friend who recently died.

The handicapped man told Prudente that the patient was a good friend and that used to take him to Gilmore, Quezon City where he sells candies and coffee.  Solano was smiling yet teary-eyed and that she felt sadness in his voice while he was sharing how good the man was to him.

“Solano was riding in the man’s tricycle when he complained difficulty of breathing. They stopped on the road and the man collapsed. A taxi passed by and the driver helped them to get to the hospital,” she said.

“He proudly said that whenever people would poke fun at him, that man would shoo them away saying, ‘Maawa naman kayo sa tao. Siya pa talaga pagtitripan niyo.’ To him, he was his hero,” Prudente said.

Solano was smiling yet teary-eyed and that she felt sadness in his voice while he was sharing how good the man was to him. The handicapped man sitting still smiles at people who come in despite the situation according to Prudente.
