RACHEL PETERS – Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters says “Yes” to marriage proposal of Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte.
“When Migz and I first started dating my mum told me I needed to understand that when dating a politician, I need to respect the fact that I will always come second- to his province.” – This is what Miss Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters said in an Instagram post about her politician boyfriend Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Luis Villafuerte.
And just this Sunday, the beauty queen announced that they are going to tie the knot soon as well which friend and supporter were ecstatic about. This only added up to the list of good news to be about following engagements as well of Sarah Geronimo with Matteo Guidicelli, Angel Locsin to Neil Arce, and upcoming wedding of Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati.

Peters, 28, and Villafuerte, 30, have been together for five years already. The couple actually celebrated their 5th anniversary last July 16 with a trip to Kenya. They have a lot of things in common such as their love for dogs, travel, and beaches.
In an interview in Magandang Buhay last October 2017, Rachel recalled about falling in love with the man she’s gonna be with forever, “I was here, I was about to join Miss World. And when I arrived to the Philippines, I didn’t know anyone. So I was invited to an event in Cam Sur and we met there. It was not a love at first sight. Sobrang hindi ko siya type at first.”
She added, “But then, the more time we spent together, I realized he really has a good heart. His heart is always in the right place and, you know, he loves his family. And for me, those are two important things to look for in a guy.”
