Quezon City Fire Results To One Casualty, 150 Damaged Stalls

QUEZON CITY – The fire affecting a market in Brgy. San Isidro Galas, Quezon City resulted in 150 stalls razed and one tenant injured.

The fire started at about 4:12 AM early morning on November 8 (Friday). Vendors testified that they heard consecutive explosions before the fire grew larger and spread wider.

There were stalls which has incendiary goods while stalls of clothing, plastic and styro were affected by the said fire.

According to Manila Bulletin, one tenant was reported to be injured while 150 stalls were burned to the ground.

Firefighters were able to suppress the fire at about 6AM and 30 minutes later, the BFP declared that the fire was fully extinguished.

As per the report, the 150 destroyed stalls, as well as other related damages worth about ₱250,000. The cause of the fire is yet to be disclosed by arson investigators.

In the previous fire incident, 80 houses in Sitio Pantig in Barangay San Roque, Cebu City, were engulfed in flames. The fire took three hours to be extinguished by firefighters.
