Radio host Mike Abe slammed Vice Ganda due to his “napakayabang” remark to Apollo Quiboloy
Comedian-host Vice Ganda had “napakayabang” comment to religious leader Apollo Quiboloy and this received criticism from radio host Mike Abe.
Abe of DZAR and Sonshine Media Network International slammed the It’s Showtime host because of his remark against Quiboloy. The latter previously claimed that he stopped the earthquake in Mindanao and that people should be thankful to him. In line with this, Vice lambasted the religious leader. “Si Quiboloy lang ang magpapahinto ng Ang Probinsyano, abangan niyo ‘yan… so ano, Quiboloy, hinahamon kita, ipahinto mo nga ang Probinsyano, Napahinto mop ala ang lindol, e. Napakayabang niyo pala!” Vice said.
This garnered mix reactions from netizens. Some agreed to what he said while some defended Quiboloy. One of the people who criticized the remark of the comedian-host was Mike Abe who works at the radio station owned by the religious leader from Davao.
Based on the article from PEP, Abe said during the November 5 episode of his program Usaping Bayan that the Unkabogable Star has no right to insult Quiboloy because he does not personally know the religious leader. He also mocked the screen name that the comedian is using. “Baka siguro Vice lang. Vice K… bahala na kayo kung ano yung ‘K.’ Pero Vice Ganda, hindi naman maganda, e, lalo na yung sinabi, lalo na yung pagtatawanan,” Abe said.
Then, he addressed the remark that Vice stated against Quiboloy. According to Abe, he was speaking personally and stressed out that he is not a member of the group of the religious leader. The broadcaster said that he respects Quiboloy. “Grabe po ang pagrespeto ko kay Pastor Quiboloy. Hindi po siya ganun. Lahat sa kanya, tulong. Lahat ho siya ay bigay, kahit hindi kakilala, tinutulungan,” the broadcaster said.
Abe also contradicted the “napakayabang” comment of Vice against Quiboloy. He also called out the attention the management of ABS-CBN to reprimand the comedian-host regarding this issue. The broadcaster added that Vice should know that it is not allowed to insult anybody on TV. He even cursed the comedian with P. I., based on the article.
Abe also made an appeal to Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to make an action regarding this matter.
