The girl is identified as Samantha Rubia, an architect student from Ateneo de Davao University. A week ago, she posted a video on social media with the caption:

The video showed her sneezing, then begins to sing a portion of the song “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Bob McFerrin. She then said the words “My God, these allergies” which is soon to be the name of the meme.

Eventually, netizens followed suit and made videos of them imitating Rubia, only that they make jokes or sing hilarious songs right after her original video.
