Class Suspension Declared in These Areas for Monday (November 4)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in different areas following the series of earthquake last week.
Last week, a series of powerful earthquakes shook parts of Mindanao that destroyed numerous buildings and establishments. The disastrous tremors also took the lives of several residents and injured about hundreds of people in the area.
The deadly earthquakes prompted some local government units to suspend the work and classes in all levels in public schools. Several colleges and universities also announced the cancellation of classes due to the quake’s aftermath.
On Monday (November 4, 2019), several LGUs in the country announced class cancellations and government work in the quake-affected areas.
The suspension of classes have been done to give the local government engineers and workers enough time to conduct safety inspection and evaluation in the affected buildings and infrastructures.

- Malayan Colleges Mindanao in Davao City
- Ateneo de Davao University Grade School in Davao City
- Sinawilan National High School in Sinawilan, Matanao, Davao del Sur
- Notre Dame of Pikit
