  • Monarchy
    • Means the rule of one. This is ruled by a king or an emperor. In the modern times, however, this is akin to dictatorship
  • Oligarchy
    • Means the rule of the few. This is ruled by a group of aristocrats or men of noble blood.
  • Theocracy
    • This is ruled by a religious leader or a group of religious officials who are interpreting their god’s will.
  • Authoritarianism
    • This form is the monopoly of political power by an individual or a small group that allows people to go on their private lives
  • Totalitarianism
    • This is ruled by an elite which shows unlimited power over individuals in all aspects of life.
