Mayor Isko Moreno Donates Talent Fees Worth ₱5 Million To Cotabato

MAYOR ISKO MORENO – Manila city Mayor Isko Moreno recently donated at about ₱5 million to the quake-hit areas of Cotabato.

According to ABS-CBN, the Manila Public Information Office confirmed the statement, further elaborating that he gave at about ₱3 million of talent fee from the pharmaceutical company Pascual Laboratories, and about ₱2 million from cosmetic dermatology and surgery expert Belo Medical Group .

Moreno also donated his fees to the country’s largest government health institution, the Philippine General Hospital.

This is to give aid to the earthquake victims of Cotabato, which was affected by several strong earthquakes ever since October 16 (Wednesday). This includes the previous 6.5 magnitude earthquake which hit the town of Tulunan.

The town was left with 7 dead and about 60 injured people. It was also the same place of the epicenter of the 6.6 magnitude earthquake on October 29 (Tuesday).

As per the report, the three earthquakes left Cotabato with a combined death toll of 23 with 2 others missing and 618 injured, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

The islands of the Philippines are in the Pacific “Ring of Fire”, which is an arc of extreme seismic activity which also stretches from Japan through Southeast Asia and across the Pacific basin.

Moreno also declared his good news in a video, which was posted by DjRed Gonzales Pacs. Moreno said that he would go that far as to send his aid to the Cotabato.
