Vicki Belo Emotional While Judging Vice Ganda’s Performance
VICKI BELO – Doctor Victoria “Vicki” Gonzales Belo Kho, Doctor to the stars, got emotional while judging It’s Showtime’s Magpasikat 2019.
Vice Ganda did not disappoint as he ended the Magpasikat 2019 with a powerful performance. His work on stage left celebrity doctor, Vicki Belo in tears.
Most of you know Vicki Belo as the mega-successful dermatologist to the stars. One of the leading names when it comes to beauty.
However, she never started out that way. She told her story about why she got into the beauty business in the first place.
“Pumasok ako sa beauty business dahil I was a victim of bullying. When I was a child, I was very fat. Five years old, 100 punds. I was adopted.”, said Belo.
In the video posted by ABS-CBN she said kids would teased her, asking her why she was given away. They would tell her that her parents didn’t want her because she was ugly and fat.
“People don’t understand that the reason I went into beauty is because I want to make everyone beautiful. Because if they’re beautiful, they’re more loved, accepted diba?“, Belo said in tears.
She then lauded Vice Ganda for his performance. Belo added that vice showed everyone that they’re beautiful all the time.
Afterward, she told Vice that her husband, Hayden Kho has been a fan of his for 20 years. She recalled that Hayden would go to every comedy show of Vice because he saw something special.
With tears in her eyes and her voice shaking, she frantically reaches for a handkerchief to wipe away her tears. There she told Vice, “At the end, na abutan mo na. You’re an inspiration to other people“.
“I’ve watched you from afar, dinadasal kita from a far you deserve all the happiness in the world“, she added.
The winners of Magpasikat 2019 will get a cash prize for the charities of their choice. However, only the top 3 finalist will get a cash prize.
Because of the emotional performance of Vice Ganda, Vicki donated 1 million pesos to the 4th and 5th place performers. She wanted to give back some love so that the efforts of the other performers won’t go to waste.
