Almost 300 Families Lost Their Homes In Boracay Fire

BORACAY FIRE – Almost 300 families from Sitio Ambulong, Barangay Manoc-Manoc lost their homes due to the Boracay fire.

A massive fire occurred at the island’s station 3 which is at Sitio Ambulong, Barangay Manoc-Manoc. Volunteer groups and firefighter were dispatched to deal with the fire.

According to ABS-CBN News, most of the houses, stores, and boarding houses that are made from light materials were destroyed by the fire. Luckily, there were no confirmed casualties in the incident.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire came from a still cooking dish that was left behind, which eventually caused a general alarm.

The firefighters had a hard time extinguishing the fire due to the extremely narrow road of the venue. The amount of damages because of the fire has yet to be confirmed.

As per the report, the said affected 300 families were temporarily transferred in the barangay covered gymnasium.
