The Barretto family is now in deep grief over the passing of their patriarch, the late Miguel “Mike” Barretto. Claudine Barretto’s father died last Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
The Barretto patriarch was confined in the hospital for more than two (2) weeks before his passing. He was at Marjorie Barretto‘s house for his birthday celebration when he suddenly fell ill.
Expressions of love and sympathy showered for the celebrity family. According to Miguel’s widow, Estrella “Inday” Barretto, the death of their patriarch is harder on the part of the grandchildren.
Visibly, Miguel Barretto is very close to his grandchildren. In fact, most of them have posted heartfelt tributes for their late grandfather – expressing how much they love him and they are grateful for him.
Marjorie’s eldest daughter, Dani Barretto, is heartbroken over the death of their “Pikey” – as what they fondly call their late grandfather. According to her, he had made sure that he has a relationship with all his grandchildren.
Dani stressed that Miguel was such an “amazing grandfather” to all his grandchildren. Amid being heartbroken, she is consoled as he is no longer in pain.
Miguel Barretto’s remains are set to be cremated this weekend. Recently, Dani Barretto posted a heartfelt promise to her late grandfather. Along with it is a photo taken when he was still at the hospital.
In her Instagram caption, Dani wrote that her “Pikey” will always be in her heart. She ended her post with – “Until we meet again.”
Sadly, amid the time of mourning for the Barretto family, the clash between sisters Gretchen Barretto and Marjorie Barretto went intense. The latter assured that she will make revelations after their patriarch is laid to rest.
