Residential Area in Zamboanga Catches Fire Due To Lover’s Quarrel
ZAMBOANGA CITY – A fire razes a residential area in Barangay San Roque, Zamboanga City due to lover’s quarrel.
On Tuesday evening (October 15, 2019), a fire hits the residential area in Barangay San Roque, which started after a certain couple fought on their home. The husband went out of control and allegedly attempted to burn their house.
According to San Roque Barangay Chairman Edgardo Delgado, the wife asked her neighbor for help but it was too late because their house is already on fire. The fire immediately spread to its nearby houses in the barangay.
Luckily, the authorities were able to arrest the suspect who is currently detained at the Sta. Maria Police Station. The suspect also admitted the he and his wife fought due to misunderstanding but denied that he started the fire.
The culprit is now facing legal charge of arson, a criminal act of deliberately setting fire to property resulting to damage of properties and lives.
Last week, a gasoline station in the town of Dapa, Surigao del Norte catches fire after a tricycle carrying a supply of gasoline did not turn off the engine. The damage caused by the fire is worth P1.5 million.
