Authorities Arrest Manila Kagawad, City Hall Employee During Drug Buy-Bust Operations

MANILA KAGAWAD – The authorities arrested a barangay kagawad and an employee of Manila City Hall during drug buy-bust operations.

The war against drugs in the Philippines has yet to come to its end. Until now, more and more people are getting nabbed by the authorities. Both ordinary citizens and celebrities suspected to be involved are arrested.

It is the promise of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to clean the country from drugs. Amid the criticisms thrown against his campaign, the current administration is firm on putting an end to its presence in the country.

Every day, a lot of drug operations are conducted in the different areas in the Philippines. Recently, separate drug buy-bust operations were held in Manila.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, separate drug buy-bust operations were conducted by the authorities. It led to the arrest of a Manila kagawad and a City Hall employee.

The Barangay Kagawad was identified as Marius Alquiros. He is the second kagawad of Barangay 438 in Sampaloc, Manila. He was caught selling worth Php 200.00 during the operation.

Based on the report, in Barangay 464, a City Hall employee was arrested after he was caught in the act buying the illegal matter. He’s identified as Manny Bautista. He is working in the Manila Tricycle Regulatory Office.

Aside from Alquiros and Bautista, the authorities nabbed eight(8) other people after raiding a house in Barangay 429. All of them are set to face charges now.
