Filipina singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre rose to fame for her cover songs of Moonstar88’s “Torete” and Imago’s “Sundo.” She interpreted “Tibo-tibo” for the “Himig Handog 2017” competition.
For this year’s competition, the 25-year-old singer collaborated with Teen King Daniel Padilla for the love song titled “Mabagal.” The song is composed by Dan Tañedo.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Mora Dela Torre and Daniel Padilla’s song top this year’s Himig Handog competition. The winners were announced on Sunday, September 13 during ASAP Natin ‘To program.
“Simula ng Dulo” interpreted by Davey Langit finished in 2nd place followed by Alex Gonzaga’s “Please Lang.”
According to the report, Moira and Daniel’s song also won all the special awards – MYX Choice for Best Music Video, MOR Philippines Choice Award, Star Music choice for Best Produced Track, Most Streamed Track, and One Music PH choice for Favorite Interpreter.
