VIRAL VIDEO – A viral video of barangay officers taking away the vendor’s fruits despite inside a garage went viral on social media.
A netizen named Felix John Lazaro recently posted a video on Facebook. The video is a CCTV footage of sonething that happened in a garage.
The vendor placed her fruits (lanzones and bananas in the video) inside the garage. Suddenly, a group of barangay officers went and took some of the fruits.
In the middle of the footage, as the officers went and take the bananas the vendor attempted to bring it back, resulting in a tug of war between the officers and the vendor. Eventually, the officers took the fruits by force, leaving the vendor in dismay.
Lazaro added the caption, starting by asking if the officers did the right thing or not. The officers, according to him, were men from Kagawad Rudy Santos in San Dionisio, Parañaque City.
This was in lieu of a national clearing operations that was ordered by DILG Secretary Año. Lazaro claimed that the vendors complied by placing themselves inside the garages rather than selling on the side walks.
