He also appeared in other Kapuso shows such as Dear Uge, Super Maam, My Guitar Princess, Sahaya, Beautiful Justice, Unang Hirit, Taste Buddies, and among others. Among the actors of his contemporaries, what made him remarkably unique is his long hair by which he chopped off just recently for a project which was a requirement.

His decision surprised his fans but he is undeniably so good-looking still with his new haircut. As per his statement, his head accordingly feels lighter and he liked it as well. He was even planning to have a shorter style with it soon.

He also quipped, “Pero let’s say, na-cast ako sa Descendants of the Sun, siyempre kailangan military look. Let’s say, binigyan ako ng opportunity to be there, ‘tapos tinanggihan ko? I would definitely cut my hair. Kasi sino ba ako to turn down something just because ayokong magpagupit ng buhok?”

Based in a report from PEP, having a long hair is his choice because he wanted to be different, unique, and have his own look.

And here are some of the reactions from his fans in a Twitter post where he has stated, “It was time for a change anyways… Samson got a haircut… lol”

@TereCarolino29: Change is good grabe tili ko kanina

@vangecorrea_: So cute and you look younger

@nddybunny: Aww, i love your long hair pa naman. But i bet that u still look good with short hair
