39 Chinese Nationals Rushed To Hospital On Alleged Food Poisoning
39 CHINESE NATIONALS – Police say the 39 Chinese nationals complained of ‘stomach pain’ after they ate breakfast at the ‘in-house canteen’ of their company.
Contaminated food may harm a person’s health. Symptoms of this illness include diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and fever.
2 months ago, 35 high school students from Imus, Cavite were rushed to the hospital after suffering from abdominal pains and vomiting. They claimed that the iced tea they drank was the culprit to their illness.
On Thursday, September 27, 39 Chinese nationals were rushed to the hospital after complaining of stomach pain. Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, the foreigners are working for the construction of the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Kawit, Cavite.
According to a report from Rappler, the provincial director of Cavite police, Police Col. William Segun, said the 39 Chinese nationals were brought to San Juan de Dios Hospital in Pasay City after complaining about abdominal cramps.
“At about 6:30 in the morning a telephone call was received by Kawit Municipal Police Station informing that alleged victims of food poisoning were being treated at San Juan de Dios Hospital, Pasay City,” said Segun.
Those foreigners were just having breakfast at the in-house canteen’ of their company. A few hours later, they complained of abdominal pain.
According to the report, William Segun said the 20 employees were first brought to a hospital in Pasay City, then another 20 were transported to Binakayan Hos pital and Medical Center. The authorities are currently probing the alleged ‘food poisoning’ incident in Imus, Cavite.
The victims work for First Orient International Ventures. Cops said their company involved in online gambling.
