Gov’t Work, Classes Only Up To 2pm on Monday (September 23)

WALANG PASOK – Several government works and classes will be dismissed at 2:00 pm in celebration of the 27th National Family Week.

On Monday (September 23, 2019), several schools and government offices nationwide will be dismissed early in observance of the 27th National Family Week to give students and public servants to spend more time with their families.

The Philippines is currently celebrating the National Family Week from September 23 to 28, 2019. The celebration has a theme “To encourage them to spend mealtime with their families”.

Classes

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said that the celebration aims to strengthen the family bond and relationship through promotion of Filipino values.

Here are the areas covered by the early dismissal:

• Quezon City – classes for all public schools and work for Quezon City government employees to end at 2 p.m.
• Navotas City – work for Navotas City government employees to end at 2 p.m.
• Pasig City – classes for all public schools and work for Pasig City government employees to end at 2 p.m.
• Mandaluyong City – classes for all public schools, learning centers, and work for DepEd offices to end at 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court announced that all courts nationwide will be also dismissed at 2:00 pm in observance of the celebration.

  • Bells will bring simultaneously at 12:00 pm called as “Ring a Family Bell”.
  • Simultaneously ring bells at 8:00 am as a sign of support for Filipino families.
