Arjo Atayde Praised By The Autism Society Of The Philippines

ARJO ATAYDE – The Autism Society of the Philippines praised Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde due to his portrayal of an autistic character.

A report from ABS-CBN states that Atayde played the role of an autistic character named Elai in the night time show “The General’s Daughter”.

His character recently bid farewell in the show, along with Nanay Sabel, who was portrayed by Maricel Soriano.

The Autism Society of The Philippines recently posted on Twitter. In the tweet, they praise Atayde on how his portrayal of a person with autism is sensitive and nuanced.

As per the report, ASP further said that his character was well developed and avoided any stereotypical caricatures on people with autism.
