PAGASA – Parts Of Luzon Continues To Face Rains (September 16)

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently announced on Monday (September 16) that many parts in Luzon will face rainfall due to habagat.

The bureau said in their 2PM advisory that the following areas will face light to moderate with chances of heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat:

  • Cavite
  • Laguna
  • Batangas
  • Rizal
  • Quezon
  • Bulacan

According to a report on Inquirer, the following areas will face light to moderate rainfall:

  • Tarlac
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Zambales
  • Bataan
  • Pampanga

The bureau further advised the public and local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices to monitor for weather updates

As per the report, they further urged the residents to take precautionary measures over possible flash floods and landslides.

Earlier, they announced that Marilyn, now a low pressure area (LPA), was last spotted 1,935 kilometers northeast of the town of Basco, Batanes at about 4AM.

They also announced that another low pressure area and another tropical depression, which were both spotted at the eastern portion of Luzon, were expected not to enter the country’s area of responsibility.
