PAGASA: Metro Manila Faces Rain Due To Habagat And Marilyn

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that the capital Metro Manila will face cloudy skies and rain due to habagat and Marilyn.

The bureau further said that Tropical Depression Marilyn was last seen at about 1, 070 kilometers east of the town of Basco, Batanes as of 3AM.

A report in GMA News states that Marilyn currently has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The weather disturbance is moving northwest at about 20 kilometers per hour.

The capital, as well as the rest of the country, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers due to the tropical depression, as well as the southwest monsoon or habagat.

As for eastern and central Visayas, the wind speed is currently strong as it moves southwestward while their coastal waters are rough.

A per the report, southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will face moderate to strong winds moving southwest with moderate to rough coastal waters.

Moderate winds moving northeast to northwest will be faced by the rest of Luzon with moderate coastal waters.
