Filipina-Australian beauty queen, model, and recording artist Catriona Gray was hailed as Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand last December 17. Her triumph on the prestigious pageant made all the Filipinos proud.
The 25-year-old celebrity is the fourth Miss Universe from the Philippines. Lots of people asked if she’s Miss Australia or Miss Philippines. She said she felt more like a Filipina despite growing up in her dad’s country.
In a report, Catriona Gray opened about facing tough times on social media after she was called “fat” by a beauty queen from Thailand. The Thai also compared the photo of the Filipina with another beauty queen. The controversial photo elicited reactions from the online community.
On July 29, the reigning Miss Universe admitted that she felt “really low,” “down and overwhelmed.” Fortunately, she takes people’s criticism graciously. She even became tougher for her families and fans.
Recently, Catriona Gray sent her fans abuzz as she uploaded a teaser of her new project on her Instagram account. Her upcoming project relates to her personal experience. She was seen on the video walking on the streets wearing a Filipiniana outfit with bashers in the sides and huge eyes surrounding her.
