This was after four policemen from Barangay Talon Uno, Las Piñas City were caught drinking alcohol while on duty early Friday. The four cops were all assigned at Las Piñas Police Station 6.

According to an article by the Manila Bulletin, the apprehended officers were Police Corporal Randy Danao, along with Patrolmen Robemarla Abales, Samruss Inoc, and Arquinn Orgen. The policemen violated Rule Number 5 of the NCRPO 15 “Do’s and Don’ts”.

The rule stated that officers should not engage in prohibited acts while on duty. This involved drinking liquor and entering gambling dens without official business.

The PNP-IAS inspector general stated that they received a report that a police vehicle was parked while blinkers were flashing. However, the vehicle was empty which lead the IAS to investigate.

The report was made by Las Piñas residents on Facebook, Triambulo said. He also stated that they immediately went to the area to look into the report.

He stated that they saw the policemen drinking 50 meters from the vehicle. The policemen ran like they saw a ghost after they saw us, Triambulo added.

One police officer managed to run away but the authorities are investigating his identity. There have been similar reports from provinces about patrol cars were left unmanned with the blinkers flashing.

National Capital Region Police Office director Police Major Gen. Guillermo Eleazar ordered complaints against the police officers. They will be prosecuted for neglect of duty and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.
