The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon or locally known as Habagat would bring cloudy weather condition and rains over parts of the Philippines.

On Friday (September 6, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country. PAGASA said that Habagat stirs rains as Typhoon Liwayway leaves the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers over the  Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan.

The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. While a brewing storm or low-pressure weakened earlier today as it moved away from the region of Mindanao.

The weather agency also warned the public to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern Luzon and western section of Central Luzon would be rough. The Visayas and the rest of Luzon would have moderate waters. The surrounding sea conditions over Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
