The kidneys are a pair of bean-shaped organs located on either side of a human spine, below the ribs, and behind the belly measuring about 4 or 5 inches long and almost the size of a large fist. This organ’s specific job is to filter the blood removing the wastes, control the body’s fluid balance, and keep the right electrolytes level.
