Tropical Storm Ineng Latest Weather Updates

WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest updates regarding Tropical Storm Ineng.

On Thursday (August 22, 2019) – the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country. The weather agency reported that Ineng was last spotted at 840 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.

PAGASA said that Tropical Storm Ineng has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving at a west-northwest direction. Ineng is not expected to make landfall but it could intensify further.

The weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said that the outer bands of the tropical storm would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, as well as Aurora and Quezon provinces.

The southwest monsoon is also expected to bring moderate to heavy rains over Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas and Mindoro provinces. Intermittent monsoon rains are also expected over Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Visayas, the rest of Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and MIMAROPA.

Bagyong Ineng is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday (August 24, 2019).

  • Camarines Province
  • Catanduanes
  • Eastern coast of Albay
  • Eastern coast of Sorsogon
  • Northern Samar
  • Leyte
  • Quezon including Polilio Island
  • Surigao del North
  • Siargao
  • Dinagat islands
